Echographz
echographz is a simple dual stereo delay line vst plugin with tempo synchronisation.
What makes it different is that delay time and pan settings are adjusted by dragging the little red and blue circles you can see on the screenshot below.
Delay feedback and volume are set by dragging the light text in the side panels.
Phutboyslim
Phutboyslim is an inline sampler vst plugin which samples it's audio input and plays back tempo-synced chunks.
It is designed to be inserted in the master output fx rack and functions by constantly sampling the last "x" beats of the input signal (your whole mix, usually). When it receives a midi note, it constantly plays back that buffer until the midi note is released, at which point the source material is allowed through again.
Think of the stuttering samples in a typical fatboy slim tune and you'll have a good idea of what phutboyslim can do for you.
- select any number of beats from 1-16
- sub-divisions down to 1/64th
- "quick-select" keys on the turntable
- midi support - trigger playback and change beat count via midi note
New features - January 2008
- Forward, reverse and toggle playback modes
- Automatic synchronisation of GUI trigger (to the nearest 1/4 or 1/16th of a bar)
Philterkeyz
philterkeyz is a resonant filter vst plugin with a difference.
Filter cutoff is controlled by midi notes and the cutoff frequency is calculated to match the frequency of each note.
Try inserting it after a vsti playing a riff. Feed that same riff to the plugin and the filter provides an added dimension.
Alternatively, try inserting it after a long sweeping pad sound, then routing your midi keyboard to philterkeyz. Raise the resonance and you can play a filter line over the top of the pad.
If you like pattern-controlled filters, this plugin gives you the next level of control - midi controlled filtering in an easy to use package !
EQ Killer
EQ Killer is a switchable EQ module vst plugin in the style of DJ "Kill Switches". There are 3 adjustable bands of EQ (Hi, Mid& Lo).
This plugin is from an original idea by Frank Bongers, who also designed the GUI graphics.
Status display shows actual Hz values when changing frequency knobs.
Midi support as follows.
- All 'C' keys mapped to low kill
- All 'D' keys mapped to mid kill
- All 'E' keys mapped to hi kill
- All 'F' keys mapped to bypass
There is a button in the top right hand corner of the info page which toggles between "midi match" and "midi toggle" modes
In "midi match" mode, the kill switch will go on/off with it's corresponding midi key.
In "midi toggle" mode, each midi note on will toggle the state of the kill switch. Note off messages are ignored.
Scuzzphut6
The Grandaddy! The elder statesman of trancegates will return soon .......
Scuzzphut6 comprises a sophisticated pattern based gate, followed by two filtered delays
- Step sequenced gate with ties and shuffle control
- Two independent filter / delay racks follow the gate
- hp/lp filters with cutoff and resonance controls.
- Tempo synced delays with feedback and level controls
- Tempo synced LFOs can be routed to delay pan and filter cutoff
Put a long sweeping synth through the gate for a trancey chopped up rhythm.Add tempo synched and filtered delays with LFO modulating both pan and cutoff, resulting in a complex groovefest.
Coming soon- A fresh GUI by Anders Kisling and a clean up under the hood
